I jusr realized. This is the second time Mimi`s gone behind Mathew for protection. She’s never gone behind Rao . Well, some animals know instinctively what Humans are friendly and safe to be with and who is less so . Clearly Mimi feels safe around Mathew.

It’s like a newborn child. It doesn’t know any better.
The standard behavior of any newborn baby around the family pet.
I pity any cat demimons; trying to get anywhere in cat form without being petted must be difficult.
Being able to change into something small and furry has its price.
Looks like Mimi has some trauma associated with her animal form, based on how she reacts and talks about it.
People just forget about personal space when she changes.

Seeing how Matthew’s the only one that hasn’t gotten petted yet, it would seem like the best place to hide.
She always looked like something people wanted to snuggle in bed, but now it’s in a more family-friendly way.
