Mimi takes a bit time of time to notice things; she doesn’t seem to be all that perceptive yet. Awareness of your surroundings is a necessary in the profession she’s training for; it will probably be a few years, months if she’s lucky, before she picks up on that ability/skill.
I’m sure Matthew would keep that in mind, though I’m not sure he’d be any less shocked to find his incredible world changing discover splashing around in water. I guess we’ll have to see how he really reacted!

To be fair to Mimi, she had her back turned completely on Mathew, so all she had to go by was Rao’s flabbergasted face.
Given how curious and wandering prone the robot is, I’d think Matthew would understand that this isn’t their fault.
