Rao has figured out that the mechanical artifact is actually an elaborate pointing device!

The kind of test that probably needs a lovely assistant. Who will likely get the short end of the stick during said test.
No fasteners between pieces? Could all the pieces have been together in place like some super magic die-casting? The lack of fasteners, and thus gaps where moisture and grit could build up, could also have helped preserve it this long.
As long as the test doesn’t involve Mimi using the drabama.
Perhaps it’s built with some sort of ancient magical super glue that’s water proof! It would have to be if it’s held together that long!

You want to test an unknown, potentially dangerous anomalous machine Rao? Maybe you should call the SCP foundation first to make sure you don` accidentally open a portal to an another dimension or something.
Rao’s dealt with dangerous ancient devices before, like Jigin’s truck, so he’s more than qualified for the testing job! Though the truck hasn’t opened any dimensional portals…yet.

Well , well , well : Rao plays with the hand , OK . But all we know that an inactive mechanism is “dead” …… So , how or who is keeping the hand be closed ?
Not sure if Mathew would approve of these methods!

uh-oh i know that look, Rao’s gone full blown made mechanic, experimental testing, what could go wrong other than the tin man coming to life and scaring the droppings out of him
Rao’s going to have a rude awakening if this thing suddenly starts to light up like a Christmas tree again!

Nothing more frustrating than when you can’t even figure out how to open the dang thing.. but if you were a robot, would you want to be able to be popped open with a paper clip?
I just love how rao’s using the hand as though it’s his
Rao loves to use hand gestures, even when it’s not his own hands!
Use the finger of pointing!

It must have very posable joints even when shut down, like an action figure or something.
Hopefully the kind that takes into account this is the only one we’ve got.
I suspect it’s fairly rugged.
It would have to be fairly rugged if this ancient machine has still remained in one piece for this long.
I’m sure Mathew will make sure these test Rao’s going to do aren’t crash test.
strapping it to something sturdy and applying copious amounts of force in various methods, what other kind of test?
Not sure if Mathew would approve of these methods!

If only these ancient Wukriians made it as easy to open as a car hood.
I’m interested to see what the hyper drabbunny has in his head for a “proper test” with an ancient unknown artifact! Does he plan for these things??
Rao plans for ancient automobiles, but I don’t he has one for ancient artifacts just yet!
Why do I feel uncomfortable with Rao’s excitement?
I’m sure Rao will approach his testing with the care and professionalism he’s shown so far…I hope…
Let the science-ing begin! *point*
