Rao still seems proud of his Drumdumo heritage, but there’s definitely more to it for sure.

Ooooookay. I know this may sound a bit whiny, but I have to ask: are we EVER going to get back to the REAL plot? You know, the mysterious robot boy, and the strange triangle symbol that’s also this comic’s icon, and the whole “secret lost history of the islands” thing? The first few chapters drew me in with its promises of an intriguing story and an ancient mystery waiting to be solved, and then just walked away from it. And to be perfectly honest, I’m getting kind of tired of reading about “quaint Drabbunny customs” week after week after… Read more »

What, and miss all this worldbuilding? (To say nothing of Mimi’s adorable bumbling.) ^^

It might seem like its dragging on, but I think thats mainly cause of how long the intervals between individual pages are. Im sure were gonna get back to the meat of things in a few pages.
One page a week understandably messes with the pacing of the story. I really wish I could do more, but we rather get the pages out consistently then burn ourselves out trying to do more and miss an update day.
Glad to hear you’re excited to know more about the mysteries of the ancient humanoid artifact MegaJar! More about it will be known in due time. Even Mathew knows to be patient considering Rao is helping them on his day off (And he still thinks he’s just fixing Jigin’s truck ). Believe me, we’re just as excited to spill the beans about a lot of the story, but we don’t want to ruin the surprises! Certain reveals coming up will definitely be worth the wait.

Matthew, Matthew, Matthew. That question is as socially tone-deaf as someone in our world asking a tall person why they don’t play basketball. They have their reasons, and asking that question is pretty rude.
On the other hand, I want to know the answer, too. ^^
Considering Rao seems pretty proud of his Dad’s drumdumo accomplishments, it’s understandable for Mathew to be a little curious if he ever picked up himself! Either way, we’ll see if Rao has anything to say on the matter.

Well, if it`s anything like normal sumo wrestling, our big thick green boy would probably fair pretty well. Also, what is it with drabunnies and putting their name into everything? What are they, smurfs?
It’s always weird to see an usually naked race wearing thongs (or loinclothes) ……… I’m surprised too to see how much Mimi has succeed to wrap/tie her arms with such short rope
Haha! I love the hilarious juxtaposition of it all. It looks especially adorable when the little winged drabbunnies wear clothing.
Though in this case, the loincloths give them another spot to grab so they can toss them out the ring!
Mimi may not be great at pulling off actual drabama tricks, but she can still pull off amazing feats with it!

Yes ; success to wrap her own arms three times with a 40cms rope is a great feat , for Mimi

He seems to… lament that thought. Not like he doesn’t like drumdumo, more like he’s got… bad memories of it, like at one point he did take up the sport, but something bad happened at some point. It would certainly somewhat explain his size.
Oof. Rao must not have fond memories of Drumdumo.

The world building is the best part of drawing these for me!
(Drawing Mimi being cute and clumsy also ranks high up there too.
)

If Rao would bulk up more on the muscle thickness like his dad, he could certainly be a drumdumo contender!
The drabbunnies are all about that cute brand recognition of course!
how did the raccoon(dog?) tied up?
Judging by Mimi’s own comment, she doesn’t know either!

Rao may have some complicated feelings on drumdumo for sure.
heh, recently my brother found his kendama again. It’s a lot harder than it looks… “How did I get tied up??” is on another level of relatable
For simple toy, there’s a real high level of skill involved! Mimi might have found a new advance trick herself actually!
Looks like the subject has hit something within Rao.
Haha, poor Mimi.
