If the elevator was built for a big boy like Rao, than she should be fine!

Something tells me he didn’t think things through and only made to handle his weight, and maybe a few tools , and didn’t think through on whether he would be doing so with any guests.
Hopefully Rao’s as good with elevators as he is with Jigin’s truck!

Poor Mimi. Hope she is ok after this ride in the elevator with that big guy Rao. 0.01% Is very little but yet…This can go Terrible Bad or Terrible Good.
Mimi just has to believe in the technical soundness of drabbunny mechanical engineering!
And also hope that those few donuts Rao had didn’t put him over the weight limit…
He wouldn’t be able to find a pair of goggles any bigger than!
Haha, yep! Even Rao has his doubts!

I really love Rao in this comic, also I’m looking forward to the next page! Who knows great adventures await for Mimi….hope she overcomes the fear of riding the elevator with Rao.
Thanks ArcadeKnight! We’re glad you’ve taken a liking to Rao and and are looking forward to the next page! Hopefully Mimi doesn’t develop a fear of elevators from this experience! Lets hope they both survive the ride, so they can live to have more adventures!

why do i here Brainy Smurff’s voice in my head when Reo’s giving his spec talk
Rao does share Brainy Smurf’s trait of over explaining things! At least Mimi didn’t throw him out like they do with Brainy every time (Not that she could even budge the big drabbunny even if she wanted to! )!

Is he sweating because he’s not sure the elevator can handle their combined weight, or because he’s in close quarters with Mimi?
Yep, Rao’s more nervous that he didn’t calculate the extra passenger weight when building the elevator. Plus that heavy picnic basket isn’t going to help things either.

Rao: It was designed by me, for me, I’m sure it’ll work. Then again, most of my guests tend to be … smaller than you.
Mimi: … That comment better be referring to my height.
Jokes aside nice to hear more of Mimi’s background, hope she isn’t too frightened by the downwards sensation.
This scene kinda makes me think of the elevator scene from Spirited Away with the Radish spirit.
(Oh, just noticed the elevator leaver, nice bunny symbols for up and down)
I’m sure he’s only referring to the picnic basket she’s carrying. Rao better lighten the load….for safety of course! Yep, Mimi comes from a much simpler life style, so these past few days have been more than just simple for her to say the least. I’m sure she can handle a rocky elevator! The elevator doors were modeled after Japanese styled shoji screen doors, so it’s not a surprise they invoke some “Spirited Away” vibes. Heh, I’m glad you noticed the little bunny symbols for up and down. Drabbunnies have to keep up the bun motif wherever they can!

Feels like he inadvertantly said Mimi looks really heavy.
Poor thing is gonna be scarred deeply
We can only hope that the elevator ride is as comfy as he said it was!
Ok now i feel bad for mimi, she hasnt seen an elevator so Rao should reassure her that she doesnt need to be scared
Rao’s reassurance is by explaining the technical details of the elevator. Not sure it worked on Mimi though.
Poor thing don’t worry Mimi you will be safe

I WISH YOU BEST OF LUCK MIMI!

Not even Rao looks entirely sure.
A slight oversight on Rao’s part for sure.

At least this will be a good test unless they come crashing down…
Hey , Rao ; don’t get the big head …… Even if it would make it match with your body
Is he sweating , in the panels 6 and 7 ?
He wouldn’t be able to find a pair of goggles any bigger than!

Well Mimi is carrying along a pretty heavy picnic basket after all.
I LOVE the face he makes because he KNOWS it could fail
And Mimi knows that he knows it could fail!
I love that Rao is sweating in the sixth panel.
Even Rao is reconsidering adding a weight limit to his elevator!
Mimi is going to have a ton of fun going down the ele-dowhatsit!

Way to calm Mimi’s nerves there, Rao.
Rao’s a great inventor, but not a great psychologist.
