As the story goes, Benjamin Franklin discovered that lightning is electricity. Rao just created lightning from electricity (with a little help from the robot). ^^
His electroscopic device catching on fire was probably not the results Rao was hoping for!

Ah, so the robot DOES in fact constantly create electricity within itself. Good to know.

Maybe not constantly at this point.

Hmmm… well, after that discharge, it may have gotten fried along with the device. Or it may have gotten rid of excess energy and shot it into the metal poles.
Rao’s going to be left with using just a wooden stick if he goes through more of his equipment!

First the screwdriver now this. Rao, don’t introduce your tools by describing them as “handy dandy”, it’ll just end in tears.
That didn’t look like regular lightning being rebounded. Some kind of defence mechanism or power venting against overcharging?
Back to the drawing board it seems. Nini may have activated it when she hit it’s box with her club, maybe a good whack with a handy dandy mallet might produce results.
Perhaps using his shiny new device on the mysterious ancient machine may have not been the best course of action.
Nini’s club may be the only tool that could withstand anymore punishment from this thing.

Rao is going to have to do alot more shopping than for just screwdrivers.
Knowing Rao, he’ll get over it quickly, as this is only giving him more excuses to buy shiny new tools and toys.

Welp, there goes the Electroscopic station. I’m genuinely surprised that they didn’t flip a breaker at least considering the absolutely stupid amount of amperes Rao used

New discoveries found at the cost of one poor electroscopic device!
Seems that there is a protective system to avoid an overdose . The electroscope being burnt can be seen as a result , Rao ?

Whatever it’s doing, it’s not so good for Rao’s electroscopic device.
Hopefully not constantly as someone might get a shocking surprise touching it on the side of the head!
Oooooh, new Profile picture?
Looks good.

Thanks samork731! Decided to change things up and use art of my OC Lago!
I get the feeling Rao’s equipment breaks unexpectedly a bit too often, but could just be me.

I don’t think he was expecting his electroscopic device to be the thing that would light up and not the ancient machine.
Time for a new Electroscope
Rao: YES! Time to buy the latest Electroscope!
To state it simply: well, that ain’t good.
