looking so tasty! (The food of course….). Also I’m sensing some final fantasy magic coming from these donuts! But anyway, nice details on the food (candys?), there’s really a certain amount of small details that are indeed noticeable, with makes the environment (even if inside truck)looks really good! Keep up a good work!
Thanks Nirozu! I’m trying to make the food in the comic look at least appetizing! Hmm, maybe they’re special Phoenix down donuts! There’s lots of sandwiches, meats, and sweets stuffed in there, so I wanted to make the basket look as packed as possible with a different selection of things. I’m glad the environment still looks good in these panels to you. It’s tricky to make a small space like in a truck look interesting!
We’ll, if they get lost following Jigin’s directions all day, at least they won’t go hungry! I’m sure Mimi’s careful enough not to squish the snacks. She wouldn’t want to stain her favorite sweater vest anyway!

I get the feeling those doughnuts are for Rao, and from the rest of it he’s a big eater.
Well, at least Mimi has a nice rack to support her … nice rack.
(Psst! Any 4kids jelly filled doughnuts in there?)

Also, that’s lovely of Mimi to make food for everyone.
I found your comic via an add on Comic Rocket today. After the first 3 pages I had to subscribe so that I don’t miss anything! As for the donuts, those are probably for Rao, and I was hoping that the metal entity just needed sunlight to recharge…maybe hasn’t been exposed enough since being placed in the back of the truck. Awesome art and story, and I feel this would make a good game world!
Thank you for reading and subscribing! It is the best way to keep up with the comic, and what’s going on with the community and the site. As for our little mystery friend, I am certain Mathew, Mimi, and crew are terribly curious about how this thing works and what might turn it back on again…..in regards to our world being a great fit for a video game, we’d like to think so too. We love games and animation, and we would be thrilled to see our world come alive in those mediums too, if we were ever so lucky.
Thank you so much, we really appreciate your enthusiasm! We both have seen hundreds of different anime’s over the years, along with hundreds of games, and lots of other pieces of fiction. We’ve taken inspiration from all of them to varying degrees. The properties you mentioned are all great. The world will keep expanding, and we intend to show much more, so stay tuned!

I too sense magic
It’s pretty magical how the frosting on the donuts hasn’t smugged in that box!
Who can no to doughnuts? Though I prefer chocolate or strawberry glaze.
Strawberry frosted with sprinkles is the most dangerously addictive donut combo for me! 🍩
Man thats a ton of food in the small truck cab there! Also, her chest looks ready to smother half the food…

Just Mimi being the ever sweet and thoughtful tanuki she is!
Though most of the food in there is Jigin’s work too!
There’s certainly enough in there to feed a family or just Nini if she was around!
Both baskets are certainly big and bountiful. 🧺
(I was so tempted to make the donuts look like rice balls, but I didn’t want to confuse readers that didn’t know the reference! XD )
Looks like Jigin is going by the old bachelor rules of food, which means lots of junk food
I doubt there’s many healthy veggies in that basket. You can bet it’s filled with lots of meats and sweets!
🍗 🍩 🥪 🍭
I missed this lovely comic
Glad to see you back Themaster!

FOOD, the soul of any good story.
It’s the kind of content that makes you hunger for more!
