Wukrii is Celebrating It’s 1st Year Anniversary!

By Gatsumann

We Did It! Wukrii Celebrates It’s First Birthday!

We launched this comic in July of 2018 a little over a year ago, after Lagoloid, and I, Gatsumann, had been planning and building the world, characters, design, lore, and everything else for this comic in late 2014. We created a little bit of celebratory art, which we shared with our email subscribers first (we do encourage you to join!) and now we want to share with the rest of the community. It can be difficult to find the needed time to create extra art, but we wanted to mark the occasion with all of you! It’s important to us to celebrate these moments, and we know and truly appreciate how much you all have really embraced the comic, it’s characters, and world. Not only is it our 1 year anniversary, but we also, as of this post, have a full two chapters completed and published as we enter into our third chapter!

Connecticon 2019 Con Report

By Lagoloid

The Connecticut Convention Center. The Venue for Connecticon every year.

The Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, CT, US. The venue for Connecticon every year.

Greetings Wukriians! This is Lagoloid writing in after  3-Days of attending our very local all things geeky convention Connecticon from July 12th -14th! We don’t normally type about our convention outings, but we thought this would make a fun blog post for you all to read.  Both Gatsumann and I have been regular attendants to this convention almost every year. We were both there for the very first one back in 2003 and since then it has expanded our horizons to many of the interest we hold dear, including much of the content that has inspired us and helped to create Wukrii. Even though much of the convention has changed a great deal since then, we still go to meet old friends, check out the informal panel content, snap some photos of cool cosplay and at the end, eat lots and lots of tasty barbecue! I’m desperately trying to fight off this food comma from the heavy BBQ dinner today to type this con report, so just bear with me folks.

After over 3 years of work. We finally Made the Manga, Anime, and Video Game Inspired Webcomic We Wanted.

By Gatsumann

Hello there! Let me introduce myself, I’m Gatsumann, a name inspired by one of my favorite anime and manga comics, berserk. I am the co-creator and writer along with my amazingly talented friend, fellow co-creator and partner on this webcomic, Lagoloid, who is the extremely talented artist and web designer of this website, one that we spent a very long time building from scratch, along with the comics we hope you’re enjoying. We wanted this to be an easy to navigate, clean, and mobile friendly reading experience that is uncommon with many self hosted webcomics today.

Our project began with an early comic Lagoloid began Kitsune Kiki, In fact, it was over the making and marketing of that comic from many years ago that Lagoloid and I both met and came together. From there, we went through many stages of trying to get something off the ground while navigating through life. Eventually, we had to retire Kitsune Kiki, but in it’s place over 3 years ago, we decided to do a new project, with a new art style, setting, world, and art direction.
