That is a more common occurrence than you might think; it happens a lot, especially in low-income neighborhoods; in my own neighborhood, there’s a local dollar store that a lot of people and families frequent. I once overheard a mother tell her kids to fill their pockets with candy, encouraging them to steal. A lot of lower-income families had kids they didn’t want, but couldn’t even afford condoms or birth control, let alone abortion; so, they were parents, but not by choice.
…this is not the comment I expected to find on one of my favorite webcomics… Something is terribly wrong with society if people are genuinely viewing condoms & birth control – preventatives – as equivalent to “oh I done goofed I’ll just murder my unborn child.”
Also, if no one were to pay for condoms & birth control, who in their right mind would, oh I dunno, actually manufacture condoms & birth control…?
Sorry for the rant, but the lack of logic & common sense in modern society astounds me.

But they COULD afford to have Unprotected Sex ? Unbelieveable !
One of the few leisure activities they can afford.
Abortion feels like one of those things that should never be paid to begin with, same with birth control and condoms.
