Well !!
First possibility : Nini can “feel” the other demimons HolyCrackers
Second possibility : Nini is a furry lover and will catch Kiki for a pet LOL

Nini is older than she looks, and she knows that Kiki isn’t acting right to be a REAL fox. Or perhaps she can read minds? ^^

I don’t know if Nini can pack too much more onto that Tikibi! They are tough critters though. Tikibi

Oni demimon who rarely speaks, meet the Kitsune demimon who loves to monologue. I smell sitcom! nwn
Nini is certainly interested, maybe suspicious? It’s difficult to say behind that blank stare. Think

Kiki may need to work on her fox disguise routine but at least she’s finally getting that drink. Thumbsup

Sitcom intros and theme songs are outside of our comic budget. LOL

I’m never sure how to read those “…” in comics and other stories, especially when there’s so many like here in these ‘speech’ bubbles.

It primarily emphasizes or denotes a moment of silence, generally, and can also be an indicator that dialogue will be continuing onto the next panel or dialogue bubble too when it comes after the text. Thumbsup

Detect Magic is a life saver in DnD, as me and some friends have learned it can show when a cover-up is done with Necromancy. Freaking Fae empowered illusionist who impersonated family without us noticing. Oh well rather have him back than the Dragon whose wings make enough pressure to almost kill us when it falls them casually.

Very poor choice of words when there’s a club that’s optimal for beating.

I can almost imagine Nini just casually saying, “You know foxes arent native to this area right?” Followed by Kiki thinking, ‘Ah crud…’

Fun fact Rabbits and Foxes are found in all continents except Antarctica, so the likelihood of Kiki being the only for around the islands is slim.

Continents, but what about islands? Is this an island or continent?

Good question! Technically, Wukrii is an Archipelago as mentioned on our about page, which is a group of islands (ranging in size). The Archipelago exists on a broader world/planet. WukriiTri

Not mutually exclusive, Japan is technically a Island and they for sure have Foxes.

I can’t help but imagine the next page will have NiNi calling out to KiKi ”Hay Old lady you want a lift in to town or are you just going to keep pretending to be Fox all day” and KiKi goes ”OLD WHO ARE YOU CALLING OLD YOU LITTLE BRA…I mean bark, bark, bark LOL leaving us all going Shock ”SHE CAN TALK” HolyCrackers Or maybe I’ve seen waaaay to many anime comedies LOL

Kiki I think your cover is blown, for one foxes do not typically yip, gap or bark. They giggle and shine and I have heard one say “Yippie” after her burrow was uncovered by her caretaker (Really Owner doesn’t fit these days, for a pupper of any kind it should be “Guardian” since they are our babies who take care of us as much as we do them. )

But yeah while they are capable of any canine sound, they have their own unique language. That or Mini really can see into her soul to a degree, aura reader maybe since she is a Oni demimon and it could be her equivalent to Kiki’s abilities as a Kitsune demimon.

We went with fox noises that seemed the most relatable, and from our research fox’s do indeed make vocalizations that can be described grammatically as a high “yip” or “bark”. Thumbsup

is it me or does her fox form make her more skittish and nervous then usual when she’s not in her Demi-human form?

I think right now she is mentality exhausted as well as physically, those critters with the rattle tails chased her for hours, she thought she was gonna die, and the giant one with the powers didn’t really help her feel safe even if he was being nice.

It is like the worst school day ever times a million, stressful, energy sapping, and emotionally crushing. That is the polite way to describe what she just went through, trust me I have school stories I want only to forget but can’t I’ve felt Kiki’s level of drain and if you come out only jumpy your lucky.

Good question! Her fox form does not make her more inherently skittish. This is just how she is feeling after her previous experience, and just happens to still be in her fox form. Wink
