Well , i bet Kiki is circling without guess it ; the forest is taking her where it wants , but what is the reason-finality of such ? Seems Kiki hasn’t even noticed she was spied

That was kinda a letdown…
But I still am excited to see what’s next!

That forest is so beautiful, I’d love to explore such an exotic and seemingly glowing forest trail Though… first panel would definitely give me chills walking alone through it
Also… Kiki hasn’t escaped those gawkers by taking this lonesome path just yet
Thanks Sir Woofington! We really wanted to give this part of the forest an eerie beauty to it and show an environment the readers haven’t seen in the comic before.
Yeah, a deep dark forest like that wouldn’t be a place I’d like to stick around, especially with creepy blue eyes everywhere!
Poor Kiki just can’t seem to escape gawkers, even when she goes off the beaten path!

I mean, at least the walk is a pretty enchanting perspective of the forest.
Although I’d say as a response to the last panel, that’s probably what’s happening!
Kiki took the scenic route without even knowing it!
Kiki’s going to have some real problems if the forest starts to talk back!

Great job on the appearance and variety of the different types of flora, did you have fun creating those plants? Nice transition from regular dark woods to the plants and atmosphere progressively getting weirder as she goes further down the path.
I get the feeling Kiki is starting to worry, she no longer in her relaxed “arms-behind-her-head” pose and is observing the plants more carefully.
Is that her still holding the fruit in panel 2? From the page it looks like she’s been walking a while and so far no ill-effects from eating it. At least that we can see.
I wonder if this is a natural part of the path or has eating that fruit allowed her to, inadvertently, enter the resident Wukai’s domain.
… That or maybe instead of being poisonous the fruit was hallucinogenic.
Strange plants following her, a deserted path that still looks well trodden, air filling with some sort of pollen, something tells me the next few pages will be a blast.
Thanks, Evil Tree! We really wanted it to feel like Kiki was entering a completely different world compared to where she was in the forest. Glad you noticed some of the subtle transition points from the panels too!
Ever since those creepy eyes started to appear, Kiki had been anything but relaxed!
Yep, she’s still holding onto her forest snack, though she may have understandably lost her appetite!
We’re definitely reaching the deeper and darker side of the forest and the chapter.
So excited to find out about what is next to come
