I have a question regarding the title of the comic, was this in any way shape or form inspired by Wakfu? You mention in your about page this was game/anime inspired.

We do, we really appreciate every single person that takes the time to comment, and want them to feel part of the community. Honestly, the name of our comic was inspired by the state of Hawaii, with two ii’s at the end :). We chose the colors because they resemble the tropical environment, and of course the symbol in our logo is related to the plot so I can’t spoil that!
Yes, we have seen wakfu among hundreds of other properties, anime’s, too many to count, played 100 of games between the two of us over the years, and they really all served to inspire us, we are students and fans of this stuff. We are busy working on our buffer at the moment among other things, and for now, email is really the best way to keep up with the comic. But we will keep your suggestion in mind, thanks for reading!

I just took some stylistic liberties with the placement of the STOP word bubble in that panel. I didn’t want it to cover up poor Mimi and Matt’s hilarious expressions there!

It’s been a while since I’ve made a comment/post but, I absolutely love this world of Wukrii . The attention to detail, character personality, the breathtaking scenery (flora & fauna included), and the worldbuilding, just make me love this comic more and more. I love the minute details that we can find here and there, such as the shadows on the windshield spotting Mimi’s and Matt’s expressions here in the last panel. All I can say is keep up the awesome work.

We put a lot of care and attention into the world building before even making the first chapter, so it’s great to hear when those aspects are noticeable and liked! It’s what keeps me going drawing these pages.
